Ongoing                    Compose many letters of recommendation in support of students applying to graduate programs, teaching positions, residencies, scholarships and, jobs. Average 10+ Letters per year.

 

 

 

Maintenance of Departmental Equipment / Studios

 

Ongoing                    Computer Lab

Oversee maintenance and repair of computers, scanners, cameras, video cameras, projectors, large format digital printers, as well as media and ink ordering, software maintenance and purchase recommendation.

                                    Supervise 1 Part time faculty member.

2002                                        Art Bus Proposal to print art on vinyl adhesive material used by Greater Richmond Transit Company, fully wrapping the bus with visual art is approved by Richmond Public Arts Committee. Funding unavailable. Resubmitted December 2004 to Deans office as Qatar proposal. Pending approval. Renamed BusWrap

 

2005                                        Center for Digital Print Media.

Application for Base Adequacy Funding from VCUARTS Approved.  $150,000 Used to purchase New Computers, Printers and Camera equipment.

 

Miscellaneous Departmental Service

 

Have attended 4 open houses for possible incoming freshman and done portfolio reviews of high school students on 4 occasions.

 

Ongoing              Have presented the Painting and Printmaking Department to the Arts Foundation students at informational meeting about our program. Once per semester with Richard Roth focusing on painting and myself presenting our new technologies
